SE Panteras Nov 2004 Update by Colonel Alan J. Rubin (USAF Ret)

Oct 17, 18 and 19, 2004 the SE Panteras attended their first group event in 5 months. It was held in the beautiful downtown area of Lakeland, Fl. The event was The Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival.

On Friday night after dinner most folks attended The Budweiser sponsored Hot Rot Rendezvous, which took place around Lake Mirror.

Saturday was car show day. The SE Panteras was again given a position of honor overlooking Lake Mirror. Last year we had eleven Panteras in attendance, this year we had 15. The sponsors selected 9 Panteras as show favorites. This qualified them to take a victory lap around the lake at the conclusion of Saturdays' event. At 6:00pm Saturday evening we caravanned to the Red Barn Restaurant for a wonderful dinner.

After breakfast Sunday morning, we said our good-byes.

Thanks again to Sandi Clinger for arranging the accommodations at the lovely Terrace Hotel and reserving a separate room for dinner Saturday evening. This is one car event no person should miss.

Pantera International Magazine will have feature article on this event in the next quarterly issue. Check with the calendar of events on this website for our next event.

On Sunday morning Sandi and Dave Pratt drove their Pantera from Lakeland to Winter Park where they were entered Winter Park Car show. They placed second in the special interest class at this very formable event. Congratulations to Sandi and Dave. Al
